AGGROGEDDON

It’s an optional PvP mode where bombarding your opponent with all sorts of effects will be the game’s bread and butter! The tried-and-true balance has become something completely new here – and units that cast debuffs upon the opponent’s field rule the battlefield.

Each effect earns you Aggro Points, with various amounts awarded for different effects: reducing an enemy unit’s merge rank is the most profitable move, while curses, stunning and weakening net you less.

The more Aggro Points you are able to accumulate, the meaner the monsters on the opponent’s side become, and you will be getting more and more mana − as well as access to destructive spells, right as the battle rages on! Three separate slots are allotted for spells, and it’s up to you to decide when to unleash them upon the enemy so that the tide of combat is turned, and the opponent well and truly spited.

There will be no bosses here – except for the Villainous Wizard who will be blasting you with effects borrowed from random bosses once every 30 seconds. The number of abilities activated at once will be increasing with time – take heed!

Basic conditions:

  • The event will be launched on weekends (except the launch days for the Rhandum League)
  • You will need to assemble separate decks (up to 5), each of which must contain at least one key unit or hero, before becoming eligible for combat
  • In order to give you a way of getting acquainted with the new mode − and having good fun as well − twice as many hearts, 10, will be available during the first launch!

Event rewards:

  • The Aggrogeddon features a regional leaderboard with unique rewards: tokens, essence, frames, emojis and avatars! 
  • For scoring every 5 victories per day, you will receive 20 trophies that aren’t going to be lost if you should suffer a defeat!

This exciting and dynamic game mode will be an excellent way of finding some variety away from the familiar events and PvP – and having great fun along the way.

NEW PLAYER PROFILE

The new design makes is more vivid and comfortable, while achievements and titles will help anyone stand out – no matter whether you’re a novice or a veteran player.

What exactly can be received and customized?

  • Background banners. They can be either animated or static. Some of them are already available, and you will be able to unlock the rest of these unique variations in the future!
  • Decoration. A cool work of art that will make your banner more visible in combat and inside the profile. You don’t strictly need to pick decorations, leaving only the banner, but why would you? With these, your profile will gain more of the individual character!
    *Decorations are hidden in the leaderboards to make room for other elements.
  • Badges. You will also be able to choose up to three badges beneath the colorful banner, so that your best achievements can be seen by all.
  • Title. It will be displayed next to your name, so that your status is better highlighted.

To unlock all the decorative elements, you will need to perform special actions and claim Achievements!

All badges now have different levels – improved versions of the same element, that is. The higher the level, the more spiffy the badge is looking! The visuals are toggled automatically as soon as you unlock the next higher level. This will make your progress more visible, and give you extra motivations for aiming for the top.

All the cosmetics received now becomes permanent! If you had any temporary rewards, they’ve become non-expiring automatically. Your style is now going to remain with you forever.

The list of emojis was moved to the Profile section.

FESTIVAL OF TALENTS

The new event where you will have to face the dangerous boss, Dissonance, and his helper − the Funky Monkey mini boss! Beat the drums, start up the music box − you will never get bored with the new modifiers around.

You will be able to get the new legendary unit, the Twins, as a reward. Complete quests, spin the carousel, gather the collectible cards, and it will become yours!

LEGENDARY UNIT: TWINS

Two entities born of light and darkness − the Twins fight in the perennial dance of opposites. Their strength lies in harmony, the source of their power is balance!

Unit’s features:

Twins appear in one of two forms: Moon or Sun. Moon Twins increase the attack speed of all Twins while the Sun Twins increase the damage they deal. Upon reaching the ideal balance of numbers − with 4 of each form − the Twins gain the maximum possible bonus. When merging identical types, the Twin becomes stronger, increasing his rank, while matching the opposites incurs sacrifice: the target loses a merge rank. They can also rank up by merging, for instance, with the Dryad’s help, while all the other means of increasing rank − by using the Scrapper, Flicker, etc. − grant the particles of light that boost their power. Mana Power-up changes the color of one Twin, helping with maintaining balance and unleashing the duo’s true might.

The Twins’ Talents:

  • At Level 9, the Twins can either empower themselves, destroying the enemies’ armor while in the state of balance, or combine the bonuses of both forms and gain powerful temporary surges of power upon reaching balance
  • At Level 11, becoming balanced cleanses allies of negative effects or allows the strongest Twin to rank up by accumulating particles
  • At Level 13, the Twins gain either more powerful critical strikes in the duet of the opposites, or increased critical damage at the peak of their development.
  • At Level 15, they gain extra fortitude and increase the chance of dealing critical damage with every pair of opposite-colored forms, reaching the maximum while in perfect balance.

Reincarnation:

1st ability

Synergy unit: Genie

  • When the Twins reach the state of balance, the first monster is hit with a starfall that deals mass critical damage dependent on the attack power of the highest-ranking Twin and leaves behind a trap that temporarily reduces the armor of monsters.

2nd ability

Synergy unit: Kobold

  • The Mana Power-up ability has a chance to be refreshed instantly.

3rd ability

Synergy unit: Bard

  • When a boss or mini boss appears, it is enshrouded in moonlight that stuns its target for a short time and deals damage in proportion to the number of pairs of Twins on the battlefield.

True power is born in balance!

GUEST STAR

A new source of receiving legendary units of the Pantheon has appeared! During every Legendary Summoning, you will have a guaranteed capability to summon a Star of the Week for Bells – even if this unit is not yet present in your collection!

This kind of summoning costs more than the regular one – 75 Bells instead of 45, and the stocks are limited. Guest Star can be summoned up to 2 times during the ongoing summoning.

The Guest Star will remain the same from the start of the Legendary Summoning and until its conclusion. On Mondays, when the Star of the Week will be switched for another, the same unit as the one active at the start will be available in the Legendary Summoning.

Notes: 

- The Royal Summoning is now called the Legendary Summoning, while the original Legendary Summoning (where you pick 1 of 2) also gets a new name.
- Summons also appear in the Events tab.
- The Guest Star will be available for summoning, even if you don’t have it in your collection yet.

 

FLICKER’S MECHANICS IMPROVED

The little dragon has excellent power-up and damage-dealing abilities, but his presence on the field reduces the amount of available tiles, and pauses between his movements are somewhat inconvenient. Therefore, we made a number of changes to the unit:

The Hungry Friend ability (Level 1)

This ability has been reworked so that playing is more dynamic and convenient. Tiles will no longer be used, and the hero will no longer fall asleep after moving or absorbing. Besides, Flicker will be periodically summoning a new unit to the field after consuming units instead of giving mana. Flicker will also be able to move freely during the activation of the ability with fireballs.

We’ve removed the restriction on increasing the damage dealt by his Fire Puddles via the accumulation of Well-Fed charges, and the enemy-slowing effect is given to another ability. Also, instead of increasing the damage dealt by units, Flicker will be reducing the armor of monsters in his puddle, and this effect will scale with the number of charges gained.

Incinerating Flame ability → Extra Calories ability (Level 10)

The ability was moved to a lower level and reworked, so that you can gain better control of the field’s development.

  • After absorbing several units, Flicker will become Overfed and launch a projectile at an allied unit, increasing its rank. He will also have a certain chance (depending on the rank of the absorbed unit) to launch another projectile, too. 
  • After Level 80: Flicker’s missile will have a certain chance of increasing the rank of the target unit twice!

Invigorating Belch ability → Heat Up ability (Level 30)

The dependence of damage on the amount of Well-Fed charges is added: the damage dealt by units increases with the number of charges accumulated.

Heat Up ability → Incinerating Flame ability (Level 60)

Flicker’s Puddles set monsters on fire. All burning monsters will be receiving increased critical damage. Monsters in the Fire Puddles will be moving more slowly as well.

Aviator Goggles heroic item

Since the damage limit for the first ability will not be there anymore, the bonuses granted by this item will change.

  • The Aviator Goggles now increase the bonus to damage boost of the Heat Up ability.
  • No changes were made to the bonuses to increased number of fireballs found in the hero’s active ability, damage against the target’s current health when hitting monsters, and the critical damage to monsters within the Fire Puddle.

Ability points have been reset! Don’t forget to allocate them again.

OTHER CHANGES

Daily Rewards section updated

Purchase a special offer and unlock a range of additional valuable rewards, including a legendary support unit and other prizes that can be received in parallel to the regular ones. The offer is reset with the start of every new cycle of rewards.

Changes to the Virus boss

  • The boss periodically infects one unit (and does the same upon death)
  • The infected unit instantly passes the virus on to its neighbors, and it is not transmitted any further
  • Infection no longer spreads to the entire field
  • Sick units have their attack speed severely reduced for a time
